All In
Every week I am amazed at the way God is blessing our Crossroads family. We are truly seeing people come to Christ in a way that can only be compared to the book of Acts. Families are being reunited. Marriages are finding unity and hope for a future. Children are introducing their parents to Christ and grandparents are being baptized by their children and grandchildren. The Holy Spirit’s movement in our area is made clear through the 2,273 baptisms and over 4,000 decisions made for Christ last year. God is using Crossroads to help change the community in huge and significant ways.
What’s next and where is God leading our future? We know that parts of our facilities do not reflect the excellence that God deserves and that they can’t accommodate the growth we are currently experiencing for very long. We also know we have unfinished obligations to the city of Corona and our integrity calls for us to fulfill our promises. You have heard me say that we must pray before we plan! I have been praying and I know you have too. It’s time for all of us to join in taking the next step into our future.
Why All In?
God never does anything half way. Whether it’s getting the entire nation of Israel (over 1 million people) across the Red Sea or raising a man from the dead. Not one person was left on the opposite shore and Lazarus didn’t leave part of his body in the tomb. God never gives anything only part of His attention. He doesn’t just listen to the first sentence of our prayer; He’s attentive to every word. He doesn’t only see the one need in our lives; He sees them all. If God is "All In" on our behalf, shouldn’t we do the same for Him and for others?
Every member of the Crossroads family is invited to commit their heart, mind and soul to a relationship with Christ and to helping His Cause in reaching everyone who needs salvation.
What Will Be Affected by All In
Our Promise … Ontario Avenue
The city of Corona has been gracious to allow us to occupy our facilities this long without meeting an obligation that was born many years ago. We are committed to completing the Ontario Avenue street improvements. We have talked with experts about the best way to do this and how we can make the entire Ontario Ave. street front a giant welcome mat for our campus. The costs may rise as high as $2.5 million. Our request is that we all pray for God to allow each of us to step out in faith as we meet this obligation together. If everyone is All In, we can easily do this.
Ministry Places
Ministry is not all about bricks and mortar, but it does take brick and mortar to create the right place for ministry to happen. Let’s be honest, we have one of the most impressive campuses any church could ever imagine … on the outside. On the inside, it’s a different story.
We have a building (the Plex) that was our worship center 13 years ago but falls far short of all it needs to be used for today. The Plex is used 7 days a week and nearly 52 weeks out of the year, and it shows. The ceiling, lighting, carpet, doors, restrooms, etc. all need some love and care. It is a blessing to have the space as it is, however, now’s the time to turn it into what we really need it to be. If everyone is All In, we can easily do this.
Children’s
Our children’s area was built to hold a few hundred kids … we are currently doing ministry to more than a thousand. To make ministry possibly we’ve had to use the school campus on Sundays. A remodeled building and new structure for the primary purpose of meeting the needs of kids would make sure that families have a place at Crossroads. If everyone is All In, we can easily do this.
Family Room
While we’re talking about families, have you been in our Family Room lately? We need more space for families that must keep their kids with them during worship services. What does that look like and where does it fit? To answer this we need more prayer and the input of experts who know how to maximize the use of our campus. If everyone is All In, this can be easily accomplished.
Outdoor Spaces
We have incredible outdoor spaces that have not been shaped into uses according to their original plans. An outdoor amphitheater and a fireplace patio are both environments we can easily create if everyone is All In.
We have asked for prayer that leads to a faithful commitment.
We have cried out for God to reveal His plans and “things we do not know” (Jer. 33:3).
We have reached out to a community that needs us to get ready for their coming.
Now, we need to make it happen.
