What God whispers

God does whisper loving truth to us…see what we should know and how it should be…

Psalm 25:8-15 (NASB)
8  Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
9  He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.
10  All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
11  For Your name’s sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
12  Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
13  His soul will abide in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land.
14  The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.
15  My eyes are continually toward the LORD, For He will pluck my feet out of the net.
God does instruct us.
God is instructing me!
His instruction as He leads us; shows us where to go and what to learn.
His instruction comes as He teaches; tells us what we need to see and learn.
All His paths and lessons are filled with lovingkindness and truth!
As I learn from Him my soul is filled with prosperity and I am aware of His blessing me.
As I tune into the Lord, He tells me secrets!
I love how intimate our relationship is.

Standing in the Valley of Vision

Ezekiel 37:7-10 (NASB)
7  So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.
8  And I looked, and behold, sinews were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them.
9  Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life.”‘”
10  So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
This prophesy seemed improbable and even impossible.  Yet it has been fulfilled!
I live in the days of it coming to pass.  I live at a time when Israel is a nation and Jerusalem is in the hands of the Jews.  I have seen it with my eyes.  I heard the sounds and walked the ground.
I have stood on Temple Mount now waiting for the third Temple!  May it come soon!
I pray and hope for the breath to come upon Crossroads and see it revive and stand again.  There is a valley before us that needs to be reached.  There are many who are dead and now need to come to life.
We all need to be a part of seeking to reach them.  We need to pray for the breath of life to move over this area and over our loved ones.
The seats of our Church need to be filled with an army of those who are now going to stand for God and live for God!

The Lost Found

I have a holy discontent to see this area reached for Christ.   I believe it is sad but true that 85% of the people in this area do not know Christ.  This means they do not know His love and their eternity is one of doom.

The hope we have is us!  All of us who know the Lord are not here by accident.  We are meant to be used by God to reap a harvest that is right before us.

So I am praying you and I will take this to heart.  That we will invited people to Crossroads.  That because of us every seat in every service will be filled with people who need the Lord. That we will take down the population of hell and understand there is a great Cause!

Luke 19:10 says the Son of Man has come to seek and save the Lost.  May many of the lost be found this week.

They matter…

From my time with the Lord today…

Psalm 2:8 (NASB)
8 ‘Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
Ps 22:27 — All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.

Are we at a place where we should look to win the very ends of the earth?
Are we at a place where we should seek from God the city, county, state and nation?

My Abba, Father,
I know that this Psalm is about Jesus. I know that He did all of this and will do all that is within this Psalm. I also know that we are told to go into all the world and make disciples. I want to do that. I want Crossroads to be effective in this. I pray that You will show us Your will.

Lord, I pray for the hundreds of thousands that do not know You who reside in our immediate area. I pray we will have a passion for Your Cause. The lost matter.
Lost men matter
Lost women matter
Lost families matter
Lost children matter
Lost students matter
The hurting matter
The marginalized matter
Those in bondage matter
They matter to You may they matter to us!
I pray that we will have hearts that take this to heart. I pray we will feel for the people around us the way You feel for them. I pray that we will be Your people spreading Your Word and seeking to see all come to know You. Lord, please give us Corona, Norco, Elsinore, Eastvale, Riverside, Rancho, Moreno Valley, Beaumont, Banning and more. I pray for us to be lights that shine in the darkness. I pray that we will lift You up and I know then we will see people come to You.

You are the hope of the nations. You are the hope of our lives. You are the hope of my life and the love of my life.

How Is Your Vision?

Luke 11:34-36 (NASB)

34“The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness. 36If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.”

When the eye is clear we become enlightened.

Too often our eyes are clouded by darkness. Our vision becomes masked by anger, selfish conceit, wrong doing and sin. We begin to see people and situations darkly. We judge unfairly.

With an eye full of darkness, we make false assumptions.

We live a life that is not filled with joy because we do not see the hand of God working in us, our situations, and circumstances.

With a bad eye we look with judgment and not with love. The bad eye sees a multitude of sin. The good eye covers a multitude of sin motivated by love and inspired by the grace of God.

Wanting and Willing

Today was my 4,420 straight day in the Word. I want to be close to and closer to the Lord and it is happening! Jesus went to a man who was afflicted for years ready to heal him…the question was did he want a new life. Do we?

When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, “Do you wish to get well?” (‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬ NASB)

Do we want to move on?

Do we want to have energy?

Do we want to be financially fit?

Do we want to see the Church growing and on the cutting edge?

If so, Jesus is right in front of us!
As He told the man who was waiting for years…the time is now!

Pick up your pallet and walk. God will make it happen if you are wanting and willing.

Today we are in the New Testament

Today our reading takes us into the New Testament!

If you read along with us then you will read the entire New Testament by the end of the year.  You also will be reading it in chronological order.  So I think you will understand it even better.  We start with Luke 1 and John 1.

Luke was written so that you would know the “exact truth” about the things we teach.

Luke 1:1-4 (NASB)
1  Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us,
2  just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,
3  it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus;
4  so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.

Understanding Zechariah 1-4

4402 Return to the Lord and He will have compassion

 Zechariah 1:3-6 (NASB)

3  “Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Return to Me,” declares the LORD of hosts, “that I may return to you,” says the LORD of hosts.
4  “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Return now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.”‘ But they did not listen or give heed to Me,” declares the LORD.
5  “Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?
6  “But did not My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, overtake your fathers? Then they repented and said, ‘As the LORD of hosts purposed to do to us in accordance with our ways and our deeds, so He has dealt with us.'”’”
I love that we are in Zechariah.  I love the power and the promise of this book.
  • The Horsemen in chapter one are Angels.
    • They are in the midst of myrtle trees which means they are in the midst of blessings.
  • The Four Horns and Four Craftsman are nations which God used to accomplish His plan.
    • Four Horns are Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome
    • Four Craftsman are Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and the Messianic Kingdom
  • Zechariah 2 is where we see the answer to the Angel’s question in 1:12.
    • Jerusalem will be inhabited again and overflow beyond the Old City.
    • This happened in our day and time and is setting up the return of Jesus and the Millennial reign of Christ on Earth.
  • Zechariah 3 is a scene in heaven where Joshua the High Priest is standing before the Lord being accused by Satan.  Joshua is an individual and also symbolic of all of us standing before the Lord covered in sin.  Satan accuses and Jesus silences him.  Then the promise is given that all our sins will be cleansed in one day (3:9).
    • The Branch is Jesus who will come from the line of David.
  • Zechariah 4 is the Vision of the Golden Lamp stand and Olive Trees.
    • The Lamp stand stood in the Temple and needed to be tended to by being kept filled with oil so that they flame would never go out.  It was a difficult job.
    • The Vision is of God having two Olive trees which would cause the oil to flow in such a way that it would always fill the Lamp Stand.
    • This is a sign of a day when the Holy Spirit would flow upon us all to be lights for the Lord and never go out.
    • The Olive Trees are the two witnesses who are beside the Lord and will come in the last days to preach for three and a half years (Rev. 11).  The most likely are Enoch and Elijah (some say Moses and Elijah).
This promise was for them and it is for us…
Zechariah 4:6 (NASB)
6  Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.

The Latter Glory of God revealed in your Life

The Latter Glory is revealed to us when we read Haggai.  The people thought the rebuilt Temple did not compare to the one Solomon built.  But they were oh so wrong.  The Latter Glory would be far greater than the former.

Haggai 2:9 (NASB)

9  ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the LORD of hosts.”
The Latter Glory of the rebuilt Temple would be realized when Jesus would stand in it one day.  The whole reason for building it would point to that moment.  After it was built there would be a long period of time that would exist between the Old and New Testament.  The inspired Word of God would be silent.  Time and creation would be waiting.
Then He would come.  Then all would be fulfilled.  Jesus would appear and nothing has ever been the same.  The Latter Glory of the Temple would be greater than anything Solomon could have built or even imagined.  The Latter Glory would change time and eternity.  The Latter Glory meant that no longer would we need to go to the Temple to be close to God; now God would be close to us!

We all have it etched into our mind that in a time of emergency we call 911.

It means that there is a need.

It means that help will be on the way.

In 2001, a terrorist attack traumatized our nation. Before then, terrorism was imminent. However, we had no idea how that day would forever be marked as a tragedy. As the twin towers burned and disintegrated, Christians all over the world earnestly prayed. That following weekend almost every Church in the country was packed. We gathered to call out to God.

Today, terrorism still occurs. The enemy is real. If we are wise we will remember a pivotal lesson of that day. When calamity strikes, seek the Lord while He may be found.

On 9/11 I hope you will take the time to read Psalm 91 and discover the promise of a God who will be your refuge.

Psalm 91:1-16 (NASB)

1He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. 2I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” 3For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence. 4He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. 5You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day; 6Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. 7A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you. 8You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked. 9For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place. 10No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. 11For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways. 12They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone. 13You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down. 14“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. 15“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. 16“With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation.”
