Bible Study Apps that Rock!!!

Everyday, I love to sit down with my cup of coffee and spend time with God.  My times with Him are getting richer and deeper in part because of the library of resources I have at my finger tips thanks to my iPad.

On a smart phone or tablet, we can now access Bible study tools for free or with a low cost instead of spending thousands of dollars.  They are also far easier to access and use. Add to that, the fact that we can carry them all with us and view them at any time and the depth of study that is possible is amazing. Two of the tools that I am currently excited about are The Faithlife Study Bible and the Logos iPhone App.

The Faithlife Study Bible was just released.  I have been waiting of this to come out.   To be honest, one reason that I am excited about it is because I have been asked to write articles for it.  If you get it, go to Matthew 16 and look at the article on Caesarea Philippi and you will find my article. I have others being added later.  This study Bible is layered with all sorts of helps.  You look at the notes and click on the “+” which provides you with a wealth of information that will help you understand the Scriptures.  I recently used this while I was in church at Northcoast and it really added to my understanding as Larry Osbourne taught an incredible sermon on Jude.  I love the fact that you can highlight in lots of ways which allows you to do an inductive study of the Bible.   To get it just click on: http://faithlifebible.com/?utm_source=logos.com&utm_medium=search_result&utm_content=textlink&utm_campaign=logos

Logos iPhone App:  The Faithlife Study Bible is even better when complimented by the Logos App.  This is the perfect companion to the Faithlife Study Bible because you will find all of your highlights and notes syncing back and forth.  The Logos App will also allow you to do word and topic searches.  If you decide to invest in one of the Logos suites, you will not be sorry.  Once you do, all of your resources are available on your electronic devices.  For more go to: http://www.logos.com/mobile/iphone

There are lots of other amazing resources out there.  The Youversion and the Blue Letter Study Bible are both free and they are quality resources.  Mantis is another favorite and I believe the cost is worth it. It is exciting that we can all dig into the truths of God like never before.  I hope you are intentional in spending intimate time with Him today.
