WHAT IS STARTING POINT?
Starting Point is a 10 week study for those who are curious about the Bible or new to a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is also for those who have some church experience, but have been away for a while.
Questions discussed in Starting Point include:
Does God really exist?
Why Should I Trust the Bible?
Is the creation account in Genesis real?
Is sin that big of a deal?
What is faith and how much faith do I have to have?
Why is God so concerned with rules? (10 Commandments)
Why does God seem so different from the Old Testament to the New Testament?
Don't all religions lead to God?
How can I know God's will for my life?
What happens after I die?
Starting point is a "Learning Community" because participants learn new information in a group discussion format. Everyone is encouraged to be in the same table group during the entire ten weeks of Starting Point.
WHO IS STARTING POINT FOR?
Starting Point is for three kinds of people:
- Someone who is new to Christianity and wants to know more.
- Someone who just wants to learn more about the Bible.
- Someone with church experience but may have been away for awhile.
HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR STARTING POINT?
You can sign up for Starting Point by visiting the Starting Point booth this Sunday at the Ministry Fair after church.
WHY SHOULD SOMEONE COME TO STARTING POINT?
Starting Point is a great place to ask questions and meet new people. It's a safe place to discover how much God loves you and what he wants to do in your life. It's also a chance to learn more about the Bible with people who are at the same level of understanding.
When you finish Starting Point you'll know God better, know the Bible better, and know people at Crossroads better.
