Anyone have one of these?  That high school ring that meant so much to you back in high school.  For the boys, this was to be worn by all of your girlfriends (assuming you would get one) and for the girls, this was irrefutable proof that he was your man (boy).

Did anyone wear these all the way through high school? Did anyone wear these to college?  Do any of you wear them now?  If you’re like me, the answer is “no!”  This piece of $300 bling has sat in a box since 1995 when I stopped wearing it.

I have a couple of options here…

A)  Let it continue to sit in a box
B)  Wear it… (not going to happen)
C)  Save it for my kids (this is a tough one for all of you pack rats)
D)  Turn gold into cash and slap that cash on my debt snowball

That’s right – the answer for me is “D”

This is so true, there are so many things, especially jewlery that we keep for some reason, and in all reality there is no reason. don’t just stop at the school rings, raquel and i are selling her wedding ring and paying off debt and getting something more practical. GAZELLE INTENSITY!

I did this back in November and it became our Christmas cash. It’s a brilliant way to make some cash in no time. I even hosted a “gold party” and make a % of what my friends took home. Even better!

I did this too! I know my son would have maybe wanted it, but my husbands ring was big and heavy just like our finances! We cashed it in to pay off a bill. Much better!

Where did you guys go to cash it in? The places I have looked at are only offering very low prices like $10-25. Mine is gold and heavy and I hardly thought that was worth it. Any suggestions?
