Being a small group leader requires many characteristics, mostly reflecting on the character of us as leaders. Some of these characteristics are found in Galatians 5:22-26 and I Timothy 3:1-8. Please comment on how you see yourself in light of these passages?

A few other characteristics are important too. Please mark the items you feel describes you:

Open to new ideas.

Open to learn new ways to do things.

Strives to communicate effectively.

Willing to share leadership.

One who strives for patience and being a good listener.

Supportive of the church as well as loyal to the pastoral staff.(Eph. 4:11-16; Heb. 13:17)

Faithful and cheerful giver. (II Cor. 9:6-7; Malachi 3:7-10)

On time for meetings.

Faithful in doing the best job possible.

Willingness to train others.

Statement of Faith

I understand that to apply for leadership I am acknowledging that I am a Baptized believer in Christ and a member of Crossroads Church.

As a facilitator in the Community Groups, I commit to the following statement of faith...
I believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He rose again and broke the chains of death. Through Christ alone, I receive salvation and eternal life. I believe in the Trinity…a triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I believe in the accuracy and validity of the Holy Scriptures.

In assuming this leadership role, I acknowledge that I am fully responsible to carry out this statement of faith in everyday life, and uphold Biblical standards. I am committed to setting the example I am called to be, as a follower of Christ.

I am in agreement with the Statement of Faith.

Being a small group facilitator will require a commitment of your time. Time requirements will average 3-5 hours per week (preparation time and group time), a willingness to get to know individuals outside of meetings, and a bi-monthly Community Groups Facilitators Meeting.

Thank you for considering your partnership in this ministry. Please return this application to the church office as soon as possible. We will be contacting you shortly to meet with you.
