Through our brokenness, others become strong

Grace = benefit = undeserved favor

    Is sufficient = enough, content!!!!

    My strength = ability!!!!

Made Perfect = Interesting . . . linear in thought
    John 3:30

In Weakness = for want of strength

In our weakness . . .
2 Corinthians 4:7-11

Earthen vessels = lowly, common, expendable clay pots, used to carry human waste and garbage

Miracles
Mark 2:1-12

Miracles begin with PEOPLE DOING SOMETHING - God fulfills the rest!!

SERMON APPLICATION:

  1. Read John 9:1-2. Considering your current understanding of what it means to be blind and broken, how are the two similar and/or different from one another?
  2. Many of you have probably heard the term “perfectionist.” Are you okay with the fact that God is not calling you to fix everything, or do you struggle with wanting to fix it all? Based upon your response, how is it affecting your current relationship with God and with others?
  3. A person's experience may occur so that God is gloried within it. In what ways has God been glorified in some of your life experiences and/or struggles?
  4. In 2 Corinthians 12:9 Paul receives an answer from God regarding a thorn that is in his side. Reread this scripture and take several moments to reflect on the answer Paul was given. In what ways and/or various times in your life have you experienced this same kind of answer? Explain
  5. In your weakness, God's power is made perfect. How does this compare with the world's view of strength and weakness? What are some tangible things you can do to assure that you are standing on His power and not your own?
  6. Miracles truly begin with people doing something. With this in mind, what miracles have you seen or experienced either in your lives or the life of others?
  7. A main element to the healing process is reacquainting yourself with Jesus. In your life what, if anything, do you need to trust God with and are you willing to give it over to him today? If not, what is preventing you from letting go?
