For 133 years, God has faithfully worked through Crossroads—and we believe He’s not finished yet. Last year, we shared a vision of the miracles we believe are still ahead. Today, we’re reminded that God is calling us to steward this moment with courage and faith. 

As His remnant, we have a responsibility to care for the most vulnerable, invest deeply in the next generation, and create spaces where lives can be transformed for years to come.

City of Corona Approval Processes

Our team has been diligently preparing behind the scenes to ensure these projects are ready to move forward the moment funding is complete. After nearly a year of working through the City of Corona’s detailed approval process, the Kids Building renovation has received full approval and permits, construction bids are in hand, and planning is underway to coordinate with church and school ministries. After several rounds of discussions with the City, we continue to face significant regulatory challenges for the shade sail project in front of the Fellowship Hall that increase both the project’s complexity and cost. As a result, our team believes the wisest course of action is to postpone this portion of the project to Phase 3, allowing us to steward both the project and its financial resources more effectively.

While the permitting journey has required patience and persistence, we’re positioned to begin construction on the Preschool building, restrooms, and the shade sails on the Worship Center patio as soon as the remaining funds are secured.

Fulfillment of Commitments 

The Crossroads family has responded with incredible generosity, with 528 giving units committing more than $5.6 million to the Remnant Fund. As those commitments continue to be faithfully fulfilled, more than $1.45 million has already been received. With Phase 1 being $2.4 million, we are now approximately $870,911 away from fully funding the project and giving the green light to begin construction on the preschool building.

Managing the Tension of Two-Funds

We’ve intentionally chosen a two-fund approach to clearly separate gifts that support the ongoing ministry of Crossroads from gifts designated for the Remnant Fund, ensuring every dollar is used as intended.

This creates a healthy tension: Remnant gifts cannot fund our daily ministry, and our ministry budget alone cannot build the spaces needed to expand our mission.

That’s why both funds matter. The ministry fund fuels the life-changing work happening today, while the Remnant Fund builds spaces that will extend Christ’s compassion to vulnerable neighbors and the next generation for years to come.

We invite our church family to continue giving faithfully through regular tithes and offerings while prayerfully considering a sacrificial gift to the Remnant Fund. We need both funds to be healthy to accomplish all that God is calling us to do.

• Fulfill your 2026 commitment by the end of 2026 if you have already pledged.
• Pray about making a commitment if you have not yet joined the Remnant Fund.
• Join us in prayer and fasting September 8–13 as we ask God to:
  • Raise up 500 more families to make commitments
  • Fully fund Phase 1 by December 31, 2026
  • Meet these needs while continuing to fully support Crossroads’ ongoing ministry
