Who can volunteer at VBS?
- Anyone 13yrs+ who registers online. All volunteers 18yrs+ will be Live Scanned (finger printed) at Crossroads.
Are there any costs to volunteer?
- Yes, $5 will cover the VBS Volunteers T-shirt, name tag & LiveScan (18 yrs+)
What is the deadline for volunteer sign-ups?
- Sunday, June 19th
What is the timeline to serve during VBS?
- 8:15am – Monday- Thursday call time (doors open at 8:45am)
- 9am-12pm – VBS
- 12pm-12:30pm – Child Pick-up
What is the training for Volunteers?
- Sunday, June 5th at 12:45pm in the Fellowship Hall
- Sunday, June 26th at 12:30 (abbreviated make-up training – make every effort to be there on June 5th!)
What should I wear/bring every day?

- Wear your VBS T-Shirt and nametag
- Bring a small water bottle that you can carry with you
- Please don’t bring outside snacks as children have food allergies, eat before you arrive on campus

When will I receive my Volunteer Pack?
- You will receive your Volunteer Pack* at our Mandatory Training on Sunday, June 5th from 12:45-2pm in the Fellowship Hall.
*Note: if you register after May 22nd, we cannot guarantee your T-shirt size.
Who needs to complete a Live Scan (fingerprinting)?
- Anyone 18 years old or older (Live Scan will be offered Sundays and Wednesdays, we will reach out to you to schedule your live scan)
What if I can’t serve all four days?
- If you cannot serve a minimum of 3 days, sign up as a Floater (and we will place you where we need you on the days you serve)
I want to volunteer, but I have young kids who aren’t old enough to attend VBS!
- You will have to get alternate childcare for your younger children as they must be entering Kindergarten as of Fall ’22 to attend VBS
